How to Care For Your InkJet Printer

As with any piece of electronic equipment, certain things should be done to get the most out of your inkjet printer. Regular maintenance and cleaning is something that may seem to be a given, but, sadly, it is rarely done. Printers do not require a lot in the way of maintenance or cleaning if you take a few simple steps to ensure you get the longest life from your inkjet printer.
Dust is one of the worst enemies any piece of electronic hardware can have. Dust tends to get into everything. If dust builds up on the print heads and rollers, it can cause poor printing and paper jams. Using a simple cover over the printer when it is not in use can prevent dust from building up these important, sensitive pieces.
